Psalm 95:2–3 (KJV)
“Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.”
Today, God is inviting you to come closer—not with fear, not with worry, but with thanksgiving. Before you ask Him for anything, before you carry your burdens into prayer, He calls you to first remember who He is. He is not a small God. He is not limited by your situation. He is the great God and the great King above all.
Sometimes life makes it easy to complain. We focus on what is missing, what is broken, and what has not yet changed. But thanksgiving shifts our hearts. When you begin to thank God, your perspective changes. You stop looking at your problems and start looking at His power. Gratitude reminds you that the same God who carried you before will carry you again.
The Psalm also says to make a joyful noise. This is not about having a perfect voice or the right words. It is about a heart that chooses to praise even in the middle of the storm. Your praise is powerful because it declares that God is still in control, even when you do not understand.
Today, take a moment and come before Him. Thank Him for life. Thank Him for His grace. Thank Him for the doors He has already opened and the ones He is preparing. As you praise, faith will rise in your heart. You will remember that no situation, no fear, and no challenge is greater than your King.
Heavenly Father, I come before You today with thanksgiving. Thank You for Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your faithfulness in my life. You are a great God and a mighty King above all. Help me to praise You in every season, even when I do not see the full picture. Fill my heart with joy and strengthen my faith today. I choose to trust You, honor You, and worship You.
In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏🏽
